Feeling accomplished! I had a terrible headache today. You probably know the kind…OTC drugs can’t touch them and you sort of want to throw up.
In the middle of the afternoon, I had a webinar for work, so I came home to listen in…in a quiet and dark place. Today’s webinar was thought-provoking: analytics for social media. I love that I can listen in to a lecturer who is on the other side of the world. It’s crazy that she’s teaching from tomorrow, and we’re listening to her from yesterday. What a small, small world, and yet sometimes, we can’t even connect with people who live on our own street because the neighborhood seems too big. Does anyone else find that odd, but strangely satisfying?
Following the webinar, and some other work I had to get done, I had a minute to research our local page for a few recommendations. I need to switch garbage pickup people, and I really wanted to find a place to shred my documents. With a quick search, I found just what I was looking for. I gave the garbage collectors a call and set up garbage and recycling starting next week. I found a place to shred for free, and a couple places nearby I can pay for a small fee if I don’t want to wait. Then, I found recommendations for yard care professionals and sent off two emails to get quotes on some labor I need. It took all of 15 minutes, and it crossed a few things off my list that were dangling there for quite some time.
My headache is finally subsiding, so I’m off to call my father who I heard was coming into town this week. He definitely lives too far away in this small, small world, and so I’m looking forward to connecting with him in person very soon. Here’s hoping you’re feeling a little accomplished today too, no matter what you’re going through.
DAY 150 HOMEWORK: Take 15 minutes to cross a few to-dos off your list. You’ll feel accomplished too.
